Business Development Manager (m/f/x) – European Team

Description

Due to increasing growth opportunities, Phillips-Medisize has identified the need for an additional to join the European sales organization. As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for seeking out and identifying new business opportunities within the Pharmaceutical/medical device and diagnostic device markets that are in line with Phillips-Medisize goals and long term plan, and to convert these opportunities into successful wins for the organization. We want to create professional and long term partnerships with our clients, to position Phillips-Medisize as the preferred partner of choice for our global customers, and to create innovative products that help people around the world live healthier, and more productive lives.

Location: Home Office Based in Germany

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Identify and pursue opportunities, in the pharmaceutical/medical and diagnostic markets and current platform products to develop short- and long-term strategic business development plans that align with the overall business, sales, and marketing strategy
  • Effectively communicates Phillips-Medisize value proposition through development and presentation of proposals and other materials, to internal and external customers, stakeholders, and influencers
  • Proactively engage with, nurture, and support strategic customer relationships; supports customer visits, programs, and audits
  • Ensures delivery of agreed targets and budget, and reports status and results to leadership team
  • Work with cross-functional teams (design & development, quality, production) to ensure projects are executed and delivered on time to meet or better exceed customer expectations


The Experience You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing or engineering or relevant experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the medical/pharmaceutical/diagnostics industry in a B2B environment
  • Strong knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical/diagnostics market segment(s), customer base, existing and up and coming related technologies, and developing trends and opportunities
  • Detailed and demonstrable knowledge of the CMO/CDMO contract device manufacturing, device design and development, related manufacturing processes e.g. injection moulding, automated assembly, qualification/validation, etc. new product introduction and associated sales processes
  • Significant experience of working with and developing new customers and programs as well as contract negotiations
  • Strong and effective communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation and negotiation
  • Project Management, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus
  • Should be a self-starter, requiring minimal supervision, but also able to work in a team environment to support the various internal teams, and the business and strategic goals
