What You Will Do In Your Role


Manage testing projects

  • Work with R&D Scientists and plant process engineers to coordinate test projects
  • Responsible for planning testing, analyzing test data, and writing clear and concise technical reports
  • Knowledgeable with test procedures and perform testing as needed
  • Work with R&D scientists to analyze test results and to troubleshoot product issues
  • Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to conduct failure analysis
  • Develop new test procedure and improve current test procedures

  • Actively collaborate with R&D team and seek opportunity to develop new/improve existing durability test methodology to enhance product development efficiency, plant QC effectiveness and field performance predictability
  • Support Regional Operation excellence and Quality to conduct field failure analysis and engage in root cause analysis
  • Establish product reliability database through accelerated lab testing and test method development and accelerated field testing (EMMA/EMMAQUA)   

The Experience You Will Bring


  • BS (over 5 years’ experience) or MS (over 3 years’ experience) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, material science or Mechanical Engineering
  • Familiar with standard lab practices, experience and knowledge of environmental, chemical, and mechanical durability test methods and equipment of sputtered coatings
  • Knowledgeable regarding coating application/fabrication process and quality practice
  • Experience with applied statistics and measurement system assessment such as Gage R&R, SPC
  • Reliability expertise is preferred such as reliability analysis, reliability prediction methods and accelerated life testing
  • Proficient with Microsoft office and programming skill is a plus
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • A sense of urgency and is mindful of the purpose and use of data
  • Attention to detail to assure the highest quality work
  • Adaptable to changing environments
