MECHANICAL INTEGRITY INSPECTOR

Koch Fertilizer, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Integrity Inspector for our Enid, Oklahoma plant. This position is responsible for all aspects of mechanical integrity (MI) inspection. Responsibilities also include field inspections, deficiency notifications, contractor oversight and maintaining the risk based mechanical integrity (RBMI) inspection program. The successful candidate will have high initiative, be a team player, capable of taking direction while working with limited supervision.   

What You Will Do In Your Role

·Analyzing inspection data and RBI data in support of fixed equipment scope of work development for turnarounds, outages and routine maintenance
·Performing internal & external visual inspections on piping, vessels and tanks
·Coordinating and/or performing turnaround inspection activities
·Providing internal customers with inspection and repair recommendations in support of routine maintenance on piping and pressure equipment
·Developing repair plans for pressure vessels and piping in accordance with API 510/NBIC, API 570, & API-653 codes
·Identifying damage mechanisms as well as evaluate susceptibility and corrosion rates
·Perform inspections in accordance with API-510, 570, & 653
·Perform ultrasonic thickness readings on pressure vessels, tanks, & piping
·Perform dye penetrant & wet fluorescent magnetic particle inspections
·Perform QA on job packages performed by company or contractor resources

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

·High school diploma or GED
·Experience working in a manufacturing or chemical process environment
·Able and willing to respond to callouts and able to work rotating shifts at times to support plant outages and turnarounds
·Ability to certify in ASNT UT Thickness, Dye Penetrate, Magnetic Particle and perform these inspections
·Ability to certify per API inspection codes (570, 510, 653, etc)

Physical Requirements

·Ability to work around and on industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and ladders
·Willingness to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances
·Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots and hearing protection)

    What Will Put You Ahead

    Preferred Qualifications:

    ·2+ years of experience working as an API Inspector
    ·Certified in the following: API-570, API- 510, API-653, AWS-CWI, and/or ASNT UTT, PT, MT
    ·Relevant experience, certifications or degrees in technical discipline (welding, equipment repair or fabrication)
