Business Systems Analyst – Data Acquisition

Koch Minerals & Trading is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our Data Management Team to lead the Data Acquisition capability for market data supporting all Koch Companies. The Business Systems Analyst will oversee a couple hundred existing data acquisition processes, assist with priority management for new data requests, supervise a team of developers, and ensure development is secure, scalable, and consistent with KM&T standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to partner with business users from support roles to commercial teams as well as IT capabilities across the Koch Companies. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong passion for connecting data to business needs, and work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to provide data in a timely manner.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

  • Own, manage, and continually improve data acquisition platform consuming data from a several sources around the globe
  • Lead transition from existing on-premise components to a cloud-based system
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and an understanding of the Koch businesses to connect data to business uses and initiatives
  • Ensure new data processes are delivered timely
  • Maintain and prioritize product backlog and communicate timelines to business stakeholders
  • Effectively manage system interdependencies and continued platform improvements through strong collaboration with business and IT capabilities

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Developer, Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Technical Product Manager or Technical Product Owner
  • Experience in an agile project management environment and software development life cycle
  • May be required to work outside of normal business hours for production support issues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience with Amazon Web Services, .Net, or Python

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
