Category Manager – Outside Services (EU)

Location: Luxembourg, Poland, Spain

The Category Manager-Outside Services is responsible for executing the Services category strategy within Guardian Industries’ Category Management capability. The Category Manager-Outside Services is responsible for helping manage over $100M in Services spend, executing a global category strategy, and partnering with all constituents to drive mutual benefit and generate long term value for Guardian Industries. The Category Manager-Outside Services is expected to support a global vision with local execution for this category and drive transformation across the enterprise. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Identify areas of opportunity and help shape global category strategies. Conduct spend analysis of Guardian’s Outside Service category and track progress on category KPIs.
  • Support global transformation within the Outside Services category and partner with regional and local constituents to execute strategies in scalable and effective ways.
  • Translate global procurement strategies into detailed, executable category plans for local markets.
  • Drive results on measurable goals set for the Outside Services category.
  • Successfully build partnerships and collaborate with multiple internal/external constituents including Finance, Legal, Operations, Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
  • Support contracting initiatives. Work with key constituents to leverage the use of standard templates and increase and contract compliance globally.
  • Actively seek out best knowledge within the Services category. Proactively solicit and share knowledge across team and with all Koch affiliate companies.
  • Develop eProcurement strategies for Outside Services category.
  • Responsible for content development and execution of catalogs on eProcurement platform.
  • Foster advancement of our MBM culture in all activities.
  • Drive results through the disciplined application of MBM (Market Based Management) 

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business or related discipline
  • 5-7 years’ experience working closely with MRO/ Corporate/ Indirect suppliers
  • Proven ability to set a vision, drive results, and develop a team
  • Self-motivated to define and drive continuous improvement of processes
  • Track record of success coaching leaders/employees and driving business initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills, initiative, and personal accountability
  • Compliance and Code of Conduct mindset
