Maintenance Manager

Flint Hills Resources is looking for a Maintenance Manager to work at our Fairmont, NE biofuels facility. This position will be accountable for providing leadership, ensuring safe work practices and developing/approving procedures to maximize craft productivity associated with routine work and demonstrating a clear commitment to all aspects of the business unit.

What You Will Do In Your Role

·Effectively communicate site priorities, key risks that impact could production goals
·Ability to establish department priorities, goals, and leading a team to achieve desirable outcomes
·Accountable for employee and organizational development plans and people management strategies
·Partnering closely with peer leaders to transform the way we do work to improve plant operations
·Create and present reports detailing maintenance activities, state of plant equipment, shut down planning, and cost control
·Responsible for the development of the annual Maintenance spend plan
·Develop and drive the plant’s reliability vision in line with the FHR Reliability Vision
·Leading and supporting the development and execution of preventative/proactive maintenance strategies and utilizing core workflow processes that will provide reliable, predictable, and consistent operations
·Ensure spare parts are managed to maintain acceptable reliability and production objectives
·Ensure department activities are in compliance to all company, government and site operational department’s regulations
·Ability to lead a root cause failure analysis to eliminate defects, improve reliable engineering practices and utilization of the facility
·Own contractors and vendor relationships for the site
·Coordinate and lead scheduled shutdown event annually

    The Experience You Will Bring

    Requirements:

    ·Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years’ experience within a reliability or maintenance focused role OR at least 6 years’ experience within a reliability or maintenance focused role
    ·General knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
    ·Must possess a valid driver's license
    ·High School Diploma or equivalent
    ·Ability to respond to plant upsets outside normal business hours

      What Will Put You Ahead

      ·2 years of supervisory experience
      ·Experience with Computerized Maintenance Systems
      ·Knowledge of maintenance procedures for centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chiller, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits and equipment
      ·Experience with Root-Cause Analysis for failure elimination of bad actors. 
      ·Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and basic instrumentation troubleshooting
      ·Understanding of maintenance best practices such as shutdown planning and execution, preventative maintenance, and precision maintenance techniques
