National Accounts Manager - GP PRO - Healthcare

We are currently looking for a Healthcare National Accounts Manager to manage Healthcare GPO Customers for GP PRO.  

Description:

The Healthcare National Accounts Manger-GPO will be responsible for maintaining and growing a portfolio of national healthcare GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) customers. The Healthcare NAM-GPO will develop target lists and value add growth strategies for key healthcare GPO member accounts and GPO initiatives that will profitably increase GP position/penetration within the market and expand contracted category award positions. They will interface with key GPO resources like category contracting, performance groups, account management teams, aggregation groups, and implementation/support teams . This home-based position will report to the Director of Healthcare National Accounts. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Sell a value-added portfolio of products employing a consultative, problem-solving approach. Lead cross-functional initiatives to successful outcomes without direct authority. 
  • Project Manager and lead initiatives with customers (e.g. Joint Business Planning) 
  • View problems, issues and needs from a customer’s perspective; incorporating creative problem-solving techniques to identify appropriate solutions. 
  • Update customer activity reports/files; or similar data-mining capabilities. 
  • Demonstrated ability for continuous learning in a highly competitive, fast changing market place. 
  • Lead cross functional teams (between GP & customer) for trials or pilots, leading to new sales and leverageable relationships. 
  • Interact with clinical healthcare leaders, VP supply chain and/or CFO. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 5 years of outside sales experience 
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel 
  • Valid US Driver's License 
  • Must be willing and able to travel 50%

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience selling into the Healthcare segment, Healthcare GPO’s & GP distribution selling into healthcare (not just MedSurg distribution). 
  • Business to business sales experience, preferably working with large national accounts or larger multi-site customers. 
  • Consumer products or Healthcare sales industry experience 
  • Clinical sales or knowledge preferred.
  • Customer relationship management software experience. 
  • Experience working with P&L statements and capability for identifying and using levers to drive profitability. 
  • Experience with contract law and ability to negotiate terms and conditions with customers.
