KBX Logistics in Green Bay, WI is seeking an IT Product Owner who will represent both the internal and external customer to the development team. As a Product Owner, a key activity is the management of a particular product. In depth knowledge and understanding of existing functionality along with roadmap future feature requests will be key in order to stay market competitive in a SaaS environment. Product Owner is responsible for keeping up with the product backlog, or the prioritized list of requirements for future product development. The Product Owner helps the development team answer any questions team members have regarding the customer’s view of how they’re implementing a product feature. Product Owners are active participants in Sprint planning and execution sessions. Product Owner will ensure that both themselves and Product Managers along with other key stakeholders are up to date on activities related to their responsible areas.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Contribute independently or to the work of the Product Manager to help define a product roadmap and differentiation strategy. 
  • Market research and competitive analysis with the team to best focus their efforts.
  • Gap analysis research of existing functionality versus demand driven functionality.
  • Ensuring user stories are “ready” for development to start work.
  • Ensuring epics and each user story has the correct acceptance criteria.
  • Gathers, manages, and prioritizes the product backlog.
  • Ensure close collaboration with the development team.
  • Work closely with engineering/development and quality assurance teams to ensure the right customer problem is solved.
  • Has technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise.
  • Tracks progress towards the release of a product.

The Experience You Will Bring


  • 3+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role.
  • 3+ years of SaaS experience with an emphasis on financial workflows.
  • 3+ years of experience working in the Logistics or Transportation industry.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Excellent detailed written and verbal communication skills, to include some user interface documentation skills.
  • Subject matter expertise with TMS, WMS or ERP applications and experience developing solutions for this market.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with development teams is especially important.
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically lead efforts supporting a long-term goals and roadmap to increase market share.
  • Ability to create structure and processes in fast paced Agile environment.
