Molding Manager

1.Through the direction of the supervision, manage and direct the flow of work, material and personnel, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste, on a daily basis, to assist the company in the attainment of their established goals for Safety, quality, productivity, timely delivery and else aligned by operations manager:

a.Assure availability of necessary resources to perform scheduled assignments.

b.Review and revise Standard Work Instructions, as necessary.

c.Work closely with scheduling personnel

d.Provide training resources to assigned associates. Work toward continuous development of associates.

e.Monitor, develop, recommend and implement measures to improve methods, equipment performance and quality of production.

f.Foster continuous improvement activities and maintain IATF16949.

g.Maintain proper communications within the operations.

2.Develop and coach molding team to establish right mindset which match our company culture. Assure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.

3.Develop and maintain a safe work environment and practices in compliance with established safety rules and practices.

4.Responsible for maintaining proper employee relations, working closely with the human resources department.

5.Cooperate and work closely with other departmental managers.

6.Active contributor to management cost reduction and planning efforts.

7.Active team participant in Kaizen, lean manufacturing and problem-solving initiatives.

8.Participate and perform scheduled inventories, as required.

9.Perform technical/administrative duties, as necessary, to include:

a.Associate scheduling and attendance records

b.Required operational records and documentation




f.Capital and emergency appropriation development

g.Quoting potential new work

h.Review and regulate staffing requirements

10.Instrumental in the Performance Management process by conducting performance appraisals.

11.Comply with IATF16949 requirements

12.Comply with EHS system’s requirements


1.Molding or Engineering degree preferred.

2.8 years’ experience in manufacturing, automotive product experience preferred.

3.Manufacturing process knowledge, related tooling, and injection molded plastics industry preferred.

4.Experience with second surface finish plastics (plateable and finish paint).

5.Strong management/supervisory and people skills.

6.Good leadership skills and understanding.

7.Manufacturing experience that includes:

a.Lean manufacturing concepts

b.Cellular manufacturing concepts

c.Continuous improvement efforts

d.Performance management

e.JIT concept

f.Problem solving techniques

g.Kaizen, Kan Ban and value stream mapping

h.Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements

i.Ability to grow and adapt to changing business environment.


1.Available to work hours as dictated by business necessity, including weekend.

2.Available for travel as required by business necessity.
