System Administrator - Collaboration
What You Will Do In Your Role
·Studies and tests hardware and software products and makes recommendations for procurement of equipment.
·May serve as a project lead to implement upgrades, conversions, and new installations. Prepares project plans which include scope analysis, defining tasks, timelines, and resource identification.
·Facilitates vendor services and system upgrades to ensure system availability. Provides management with updates.
·Serves as a technical expert in a specific discipline that can include audio/video, visitor management system, digital signage and various operating systems. Acts as an interface between information system groups.
·Provides technical guidance to other administrators both local and at remote site facilities.
·Monitors the systems and troubleshoots problems. Conducts performance tuning to optimize performance and ensure system availability. Develops standard operating procedures and prepares reports on system performance.
·Utilizes the Molex global helpdesk to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software problems.
·Assures projects adhere to Molex standards, documenting exceptions and presenting to global management. Provides management with on-going updates. Communicates system activities to management and other departments affected by the network performance. - Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
The Experience You Will Bring
·2+ years’ experience supporting and implementing Microsoft, SAAS, Collaboration Technology
·Experience in a customer support environment
·Problem solving skills that demonstrate the ability to identify problems, determine causes, evaluate alternative solutions, and make recommendations
·Ability to prioritize work assignments
·Effective written and oral communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express ideas and exchange information
·Interpersonal skills to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to respond positively to situations. Customer service skills that demonstrate the ability to respond to user problems with a sense of urgency
