Georgia-Pacific is looking for a safety-oriented and efficient Converting Machine Operators for our Richmond, IN Color-Box® facility. These are experienced operator positions for a facility that manufactures and converts litho-laminated corrugated board for our valued customers.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Safely and efficiently operate converting equipment such as corrugators, laminators, die-cutters, or folder-gluers to meet customer requirements and specifications.
- Working in a team environment to continuously improve performance in areas of safety, quality, and operations.
- Performing basic preventative maintenance on machines and equipment and identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving process issues.
- Practicing Market Based Management® Principles to achieve business and personal goals in the workplace.
These roles will primarily be located on 2nd or 3rd shift
Physical Requirements/Other Considerations:
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standings, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
- Willing and able to maintain a strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
- Willing and able to work in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy and high volume environment
- Willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- 2+ years past experience operating a board corrugator, laminator, die-cutter, folder-gluer machine or similar industrial machinery
- 1+ years experience utilizing a computer in a work environment
