 Finish Line Support- Clarendon, SC

Georgia-Pacific is hiring Finish Line Support for our OSB facility in Clarendon, SC. The Finish Unloaders are responsible for assisting the Packaging Line Operators and Finishing Line Coordinators to ensure product is finished and packed for shipping. As a Finish Unloader, you will be responsible for ensuring all finished product is tagged properly and graded OSB is bundled together appropriately. Opportunities to advance are available as you acquire the skills needed for other keys roles in the facility.

Oriented Strand Board (OSB), compressed strands of wood chips that are bound together by adhesives which prevent moisture intrusion. A Day In The Life Typically Includes

·Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures

·Packaging OSB bundles and operating a forklift to place bundles in the proper location for shipping

·Monitoring the finishing line for any stoppages and assisting with troubleshooting to re-start product flow

·Tagging bundles of OSB and changing out stencil inserts and plates

·Using a scraper to clean the walls, changing filters and paint tips and cleaning the robot of the paint booth

·Using small tools such as blowers to remove debris from equipment and keeping the finishing area clean

·Operating a forklift to sort product by various grades into the proper warehouse locations

·Obtaining forklift operator’s license after company provided training

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications

·High school diploma or GED

·At least (6) months of experience workingin a manufacturing, industrial, military, farming, construction and warehouseenvironment or operating production equipment

·Willing and able to work 12 rotating shift including holidays, weekends and overtime as needed

·Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment

·Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include safety equipment, i.e.: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toed boots and other PPE as required by specific job

·Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours a day

·Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications

·At least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing , industrial or military environment

·Experience operating a forklift

·Work experiencein a lumber or wood products environment

·Experience operating manufacturing equipment

·Previous experienceusing a computer for basic record-keeping and documentation functions
