3rd Shift Corrugating Supervisor


Georgia-Pacific is currently hiring for a Corrugator Supervisor to primarily lead one of our 3rd shift operations in the Sheboygan, WI Corrugated Box Manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be self-driven with a passion for excellence in Safety, Manufacturing, and Customer Focus. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Providing leadership on the operating floor and striving for compliance in safety, health, environmental, and quality
  • Coaching, training, and developing operations personnel in safety, quality, production, problem solving, and technical and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Addressing key issues & concerns and interacting with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on-time production Safety & Culture:
  • Ensuring all employees are working in a safe manner by developing a culture for where employees address unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors and participate and make suggestions for improvement; Identifying safety gaps and self-initiative corrective actions
  • Working as a change agent and actively promoting safety activities and participation within the safety organization
  • Strictly adhering to plant safety, housekeeping, and quality efforts
  • Exemplifying and advancing the application of MBM® culture Operations Excellence
  • Utilizing all available resources to ensure the product meets or exceeds customer expectations
  • Ensuring best practices are being followed for minimization of waste at machine centers
  • Tracking continuous improvement opportunities where performance issues are apparent and providing leadership/action plans for gap closure; following up as required
  • Identifying repairs needed at machine centers and create work requests for completion; following up as required Performance Management
  • Planning, assigning and directing work for all hourly production employees and determining shift staffing needs; appraising performance and providing feedback as needed; assisting in resolving complaints; holding employees accountable as needed; communicating issues and results on a daily basis
  • Solving problems using root cause analysis; able to motivate teams to exceed expectations; providing clear communication, planning and organization skills; having a sense of urgency, accountability and the desire to advance in responsibility within manufacturing 

The Experience You Will Bring


  • High School diploma or GED
  • Three years or more of experience working on a Corrugator
  • One year or more experience supervising employees within a manufacturing, production, industrial or military environment
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word (to write business correspondence), Excel (for use of spreadsheets, reporting, simple formulas) and Outlook (for internal and external correspondence)
  • Willing and able to lift 35lbs, climb stairs, and utilize ladders occasionally 

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Associate’s degree or higher in manufacturing, business, or engineering
  • Five years or more of experience supervising employees within a manufacturing, production, industrial or lead experience within the paper industry
  • Experience leading an employee training/development program in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience in multiple Corrugator operating roles
  • Experience working with KIWI Application
  • Experience in continuous improvement /lean six sigma
