Flint Hills Resources (FHR) is currently looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to work with our Artificial Intelligence Team at our Rosemont, MN facility or Wichita, KS headquarters. Full stack engineering is a vital component in Flint Hills Resources' strategy to radically improve business performance through the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate decision making. Full stack engineers partner with data scientists, data engineers, and business subject matter experts to understand business and technical requirements, leverage data ingestion pipelines, time aligned object models, and predictive algorithm results to create rich, interactive web applications. As a member of the Artificial Intelligence team you will need to thrive in a fast pace and innovative environment. You will collaborate to develop engaging solutions and prove their value through scalable deployment in our business. Collaboration, creativity, and an intense focus on attaining positive business results will be necessary skills.

  • A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Create interactive data collection applications to feed information to the predictive models
  • Create new or integrate with existing data pipelines to bring the right data together at the right frequency Leverage FHR's new AI / ML platform C3.ai to create time aligned object models, metrics and analytic functions over diverse datasets for use in machine learning algorithms
  • Continuously improve data pipelines including solutions for data management, security and performance
  • Leverage APIs and data objects from our next generation AI platform - C3.ai
  • Present combined data with predicted results in a meaningful way with a great user experience to drive action
  • Work closely with Data Scientists, Subject Matter Experts and Data Engineers to create new AI enabled applications and deploy to production
  • Continuously improve and enhance existing applications with new features
  • Monitor, resolve, and escalate application production issues as appropriate
  • Stay current on technologies and best practices, ensuring that best knowledge is leveraged to achieve success
  • What You Will Need:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree
  • Proven professional experience with object-oriented programming in a technology focused role (including but not limited to IT Roles such as: Software Developer, Data Engineer, DevOps/Cloud Engineer, Data Scientist)
  • 5+ years professional coding experience building applications with Object-Oriented patterns
  • Professional experience working with back-end development technologies such as C#, Java, REST APIs
  • Professional experience working with web front-end development such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related libraries

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with an Engineering or Technology focus
  • Experience working with SQL, database programming, and large data sets
  • Experience transforming datasets including designing data pipelines, ETL workflows and integrations
  • Visual and product design skills
  • Understanding of responsive design and how to implement
  • Professional development experience with React.js
  • Hackathon Championships
  • Experience working or leading Agile Product Development Teams
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure
