Molex is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Signal Integrity Design Engineer to contribute to the development of high-speed interconnect platforms while growing skills and knowledge. The Engineer will become part of a highly dedicated team of engineers in the Molex Copper Solution Business Unit.

Within the first few months, this engineer will develop beyond fundamental skills to learn about differential S parameters. This person will work on skills to design S parameters and learn about the connector business. This engineer will learn how to perform simulations and perform correlation studies. As the engineer learns how to do schematics, eventually these skills will provide an opportunity to manage a project and perform design.

What you will do:

  • Learn about tools, simulations, correlation studies to grow to a Project Engineer that will be designing cutting-edge interconnect solutions
  • Perform high-speed empirical, analytical and signal integrity evaluations of connectors within transmission line environments
  • Develop skills to design, build and qualify electrical test fixtures for the characterization of electrical connectors
  • Recommend changes in designs or technical procedures
  • Provide development input to design teams, create electrical product models and documentation
  • Analyze variation dependence and parametric optimization
  • Work in laboratory environment to validate design and correlate measurement with simulations using VNA, TDR and Oscilloscope
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

What you will have:

  • Fundamental understanding of RF / SI including S-parameters
  • Software experience in academia: Ansys HFSS & Design or CST; Agilent ADS & PLTS; Matlab or Python
  • Test and Measurement equipment courses or experience with: VNA, TDR
  • Channel modeling and correlation, connector design and validation, standards committee participation, ability to mentor, technical papers published


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Applied Math

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Applied Math 
  • Internship experience
