Indirect Sourcing Manager

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Lead implementation of sourcing strategies, procurement, and process flow throughout the organization. Ensure compliance to existing contracts and service levels 
  • Build and manage a team of capable Indirect sourcing specialists and buyers, supporting specified plants through Japan, Korea & Vietnam 
  • Collaborate with Indirect Category Managers, NPD Sourcing, Division Sourcing, Procurement operations to ensure objectives are met to support plant revenue and cost objectives 
  • Lead negotiations of supply agreements with local suppliers 
  • Understand and monitor industry’s best practices and technology trends, with the goal of spend management, price reductions and negotiated savings 
  • Delivery world class performance to Procurement KPIs through leverage of eProcurement tools and through business process design 
  • Manage internal business relationships and gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements. Manager external partnerships critical to meeting objectives 
  • Manage governance and control programs to ensure business continuity, protect company assets and comply with corporate and regulatory policies

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Minimum 5 years strategic sourcing / procurement experience 
  • Preferred in area for indirect spend 
  • Experienced in managing a team 
  • Clear and concise in English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization as well as deliver oral presentations on moderately complex subject matter 
  • Native Japanese speaking 
  • Demonstrated experience driving cross functional collaboration across business units and geographies 
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills 
  • Hands on experience in sourcing / buying process 
  • Self-driven and motivated even with remote reporting structure 
  • Excellent communication, project management & relationship building skills required 
  • Demonstrated proficient interpersonal, listening and negotiation skills 
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Understanding in Category Management & supporting their strategy 
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite required; proficiency with-sourcing tools and ERP system required
