Flint Hills Resources refines over 600,000 b/d of crude oil and owns or operates 4,000 miles of pipeline in six states that transport crude oil, refined petroleum products, chemicals and natural gas liquids efficiently, reliably and safely. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven Rockies Crude Oil Scheduler to join our team in Broomfield, CO. This role will schedule, monitor and manage crude oil movements on pipeline and truck in the Rocky Mountain Region. The Crude Oil Scheduler is integral for the planning and optimization of scheduling activities and will contribute to the success and profitability of the business.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Ensure pipeline nominations are submitted accurately and on time
  • Monitor daily truck and pipeline receipts/deliveries and communicate positions with Rockies traders
  • Manage inventories at optimal levels which maximize profitability and execute position management goals
  • Ability to address and resolve unplanned events relating to logistics in a manner consistent with business strategy
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with transportation providers and customers
  • Primary point of customer contact relating to truck and pipeline logistics
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage lease nomination destinations and Pine Bend UHC feedstock deliveries into Minnesota Pipeline
  • Contribute to POV for Canadian and Rockies market reports and Pine Bend Refinery Supply Conference Calls
  • Perform Roles and Responsibilities within Flint Hills Resources compliance standards

The Experience You Will Bring

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a distribution, logistics, and/or scheduling role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PP, Microsoft Teams)
  • Willing and able to respond to calls outside working hours, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of crude oil measurement and transportation logistics
  • Experience with Rockies Pipeline Scheduling and Nomination Systems
  • Critical Thinking/Problem Solving Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline
