Design Team Lead for Medical Device Development

What You Will Do In Your Role

As a Design Team Lead, you lead cross-functional technical development projects with a focus on product architecture and interfaces between hardware, software, and mechanical design in close collaboration with the Project Manager. 
Responsibilities focus on two main areas: 

Lead:

  • System development plan and schedule according to the System Design Lifecycle Ensure and coordinate efficient and competitive product development in close cooperation with the leads for each profession. 
  • Lead technical feasibility studies. 
  • Develop and execute communication with internal and external stakeholders for technical project meetings. 

Technical:

  • Contribute significantly to writing Product Requirement Specification and breakdown of Product Requirement Specifications into a specific system and functional process. 
  • Document details of system specifications, architecture, functions, and interfaces. 
  • Ensure compliance between product requirements and product performance. 
  • Ensure technical maturity, quality, and documentation timely according to our Quality Management System. 

The Experience You Will Bring 

  • Display a proven track record of 5+ years of successful cross-functional system engineering, preferable from the Medical Device industry, and you have applied knowledge within Medical Device regulations and standards (21CFR, ISO13485, ISO14971, MDR). 
  • Combine your leadership skills with openness to input from colleagues, work to get the best out of your team, and thrive with solving complex challenges. 
  • You communicate effectively on different organizational levels and with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and are fluent in English speaking and writing. 

Education

The candidate holds a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferable with a software background, electronics, or mechatronics alternatively from mechanics or software with a strong technical understanding with the capability to make deep dives into technical challenges at the system level.
