Join our team at Flint Hills Resources Corpus Christi Refinery as a Crane Operator! Operate our extensive fleet of industrial cranes inside one of the Texas Gulf Coast’s premiere refineries.
Our Team
Our General Maintenance shop supports refinery operations with a safety mindset as the highest priority. Our group consists of highly skilled tradespeople that work in a variety of crafts including boiler making, pipefitting, welding and crane operations.
What You Will Do
- Operate cranes (8-ton, 15-ton, 25-ton, 70-ton, 120-ton and 160-ton) as needed with safety as the highest priority
- Create and utilize lift plans in collaboration with maintenance and operations.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on crane/lift equipment
- Perform non-routine work as required including shutdown, turnaround, and startup activities
- Must respond to call-outs when scheduled
- Document work progress and findings in Infor
- Compliance with FHR’s policies and practices related to Environmental, Health, and Safety
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 3 years of work experience as a Crane Operator
- Crane Operator certifications including NCCER or NCCCO
- Valid Driver’s License
What Will Put You Ahead
- Ability to read crane charts and develop lift plans
- Ability to use desktop PC’s or mobile devices such as iPad, Surface Pro etc.
- 5+ years’ work experience as crane operator
- NCCER certification in Boilermaker and/or Pipefitting
