DCS/ APC Engineer
We are looking for a Distributed Control System (DCS) Engineer for our Nylon Intermediates manufacturing facility in Victoria, TX. This individual will be a member of the controls team, which works closely with the process engineering, maintenance, and operations groups to develop and implement process control applications including advanced to enhance plant operation and profitability.

What You Will Do
- Develop subject matter expertise, openly share and build capabilities in our shift teams.
- Development, support, maintenance and implementation of bases and advanced process control applications to significantly enhance plant operation and profitability.
- Day-to-day support and maintenance of process control hardware such as workstations and servers.
- Review and manage the documentation of process control standards, architecture and control schemes.
- Create and provide instruction for training of console operators and other groups on control subjects as required.
- Support the management of change (MOC) process.
- Monitor site process control systems for optimal operation, including the implementation/use of a plant wide control performance-based software.
- Root cause analysis of process control problems; identifying and implementing corrective actions.
- Apply fundamental process control knowledge in implementing facilities and process modifications.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- B.S. or higher in Electrical or Chemical Engineering
- Basic knowledge of facility/process design including engineering & PSM standards
- Experience communicating with various levels of an organization (engineers, supervisors, operators, mechanics, contractors, off-site vendors, etc.)
What Will Put You Ahead
- 5+ years of experience in a chemical, petrochemical or refinery plant environment
- 3+ years experience implementing and maintaining regulatory schemes
- 2+ years of experience in advanced process control applications
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving process control problems
- Experience in tuning digital PID controllers
- Experience designing, implementing and tuning advanced control programs and/or strategies
- Proficiency reading and understanding P&IDs, instrument loop drawings, DCS schematics and other design documents
- Demonstrated capability to manage process control system related projects
- Expertise in AVEVA PI data management solutions
