Your Job
Our Pennington, AL site is currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to support the Auto Shop area. This role reports to the Maintenance Business Leader. Georgia Pacific offers excellent benefits and competitive wages. This position works a flexible day shift with overtime required on an as needed basis. The payrate is $27.12 per hour.
Our Team
Naheola Mill located in Pennington, Alabama, is a manufacturing site for the company’s well-known consumer products business, producing a wide range of products for the consumer business, including Angel Soft® bath tissue and Sparkle® paper towels, as well as bleached paperboard used in Dixie® paper cups and plates. The mill is the largest employer in the community with more than 900 employees and is engaged in supporting community outreach, workforce development and education.
What You Will Do
- Ensure Auto shop safety work order completion.
- Track Maintenance Convergence training adherence for auto shop/shift employees.
- Track safety alert effectiveness for mobile equipment.
- Site mobile equipment master file updates.
- Offsite repairs tracker/status.
- Mobile equipment PM scheduler/tracker.
- Track site rental units/schedule returns.
- Order and track delivery of parts.
- Manifest tracker for offsite tire disposal which has environmental impact.
- Manage onsite tire inventory.
- Review auto shop corrective work orders once a week and report to Supervisor, close if necessary.
- Track auto shop materials delivery.
- Responsible for auto shop employees time in Kronos and support areas when crew leaders are out.
- Monitor Day Work absences.
- Ensure accuracy in timesheets by checking for missing punches, non-scheduled employees, and any other errors on time sheets.
- Check for errors before pay period and make corrections before 2 weeks’ pay period.
- Print timesheets from Kronos for maintenance employees in order to track overtime worked in excel spreadsheet.
- Track Mechanical maintenance and E&I refused overtime in an excel spreadsheet.
- Track and record RO’s for maintenance on weekly overtime report.
- Track maintenance employees schedule to work on weekend. Schedule employees that did not RO as needed after RO’s have been pulled.
- Fill out, complete, and distribute weekend duty hourly resources for maintenance and E&I employees schedule for weekend work.
- Track Maintenance and E&I employees by name, seniority, date, number of weeks’ vacation for each employee.
- Maintain floating holidays, vacation, split vacation days.
- Maintain most recent vacation guidelines for maintenance and E&I by crew by area.
- Order all office and training material for maintenance and E&I salaried and hourly employees as approved.
- Reconcile p - card statement at the end of month for credit card purchases.
- Complete all required safety training.
- Perform other duties as required.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoints) and the ability to learn mill systems (Kronos, etc.).
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
Good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of Labor Agreement.
This role is part of the collective bargaining agreement and the starting pay for this role is set at $27.12 per hour.
