VP (m/f/d) - Strategy and Business Development, Industrial Solutions

The VP of Industrial Solutions Business Development & Strategy will be responsible for leading a global business development team and developing a strategy for growth.

Our products empowers supply chain stakeholders to build software-defined machines, robots and production lines that meet escalating demands for connected, secure, scalable, and efficient operations. IoT and IoS make the smart factory possible and data enables next-level automation and machine learning that will make factories progressively more productive and efficient.

The VP will lead and motivate an existing global team of Sales, Business Development and Marketing leaders. This VP will also be responsible for building and executing a strategy that will advance our industrial business by developing growth opportunities. The expectations of the role will be broadening our customer base by finding and penetrating new targets for Molex’s Industrial products. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

Business Leadership

  • Lead Industrial business with commercial excellence 
  • Motivate and lead Business Development leaders to drive sales opportunities and increase revenue
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the field sales and sales operations teams connecting them overall strategies and driving performance against strategic priorities
  • Partner with division leadership and customers to use our technical expertise to drive projects/new product development to meet customer goals
  • Leverage Principle Based Management values and supervisor responsibilities to execute on strategy

Sales Development

  • Execute on strategy resulting in long-term growth and return on investment
  • Assess both market and customer direction and determine gaps that need to be addressed
  • Monitor industry trends and maintain relationships with relevant external partners to identify strategic investments and potential innovative partnerships
  • Build key customer relationships with new and existing clients
  • Leverage existing relationships with contacts in key target companies to introduce products

Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement strategic sales processes to drive growth, customer retention, market penetration, and profitability.
  • Develop long-range strategic business plans that deliver the company’s growth targets

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Experience in corporate, commercial, and/or business development
  • Experience working with business leaders to develop and prioritize strategies and key initiatives
  • Experience generating and using financial models to support decisions
  • Understanding of key capabilities required to successfully compete, from design to commercialization
  • Experience building customer relationships to develop deep understanding of customer needs
  • Experience in a Industry related Sales Leadership role
