EHS Manager
Description
Koch Separation Solutions (KSS) is looking for a high energy EHS Manager to lead the operational environmental, health and safety efforts at our Wilmington, MA campus. This will involve managing 1 direct report, as well as working closely with all managers and employees to ensure compliance to EHS related regulations and minimize risks for our employees and the environment. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, demonstrate a commitment to safety and manufacturing excellence, possess strong written and verbal skills.

What You Will Do In Your Role
- Ensures full compliance with all applicable EHS federal, state, and local legislative requirements.
- Maintains a safe and hazard-free working environment.
- Conducts EHS audits of people, facilities, process, and equipment on a regular basis.
- Develops and implements programs to improve environmental and safety performance.
- Uses knowledge of chemical properties to manage the site’s chemical management program.
- Identify, manage, and reduce EHS risk.
- Manage and lead the EHS training and awareness program.
- Build programs to engage the workforce.
- Leads and drives incident root cause and corrective/preventive action program.
- Ensures accurate recordkeeping regarding EHS regulations.
- Manage the EHS specialist, as well as build up champions outside of EHS organization.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Previous EHS experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably chemical.
- Experience in driving environmental compliance, including hazardous waste, wastewater, air, EPCRA, TURA, etc
- Previous experience managing people is preferred.
- Utilizing MS Office-Word-PowerPoint-Excel (graphing) in a work environment.
- Physical Requirements:
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting; ability to frequently stand, walk, reach within hands and arm’s length, stoop, stretch and crouch; ability to work in wet environment; able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection and safety toe work shoes.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Background in chemical management and chemistry
- Qualifications in DOT Certification for Hazardous Waste, RCRA Certification for Hazardous Waste, Red Cross Certified, and ASP/CSP Certification
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Success in leading key safety programs, including industrial hygiene, lockout tagout, machine guarding, ergonomic.
