Monitoring Engineer or Analyst
As a Monitoring Engineer or Analyst for Flint Hills Resources LC, (FHR) you will be able to apply troubleshooting and analytical skills in a team environment and be responsible for working closely with other technical and non-technical groups to support remote pipeline operations, projects, and business initiatives. Successful candidates will have the opportunity for growth in knowledge and responsibilities.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Troubleshoot and support pipeline hydraulic operations
- Monitor analytical models to identify potential equipment failures and detect pipeline releases
- Development, maintenance, and testing of real-time leak detection models
- Implement solutions to improve reliability and prevent false alarms in leak detection systems
- Collaborate with team and customers to accomplish capability advancement initiatives
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0, or 2+ years pipeline operations experience
- Will be required to be on call for support on a rotating schedule
- Experience managing multiple multifaceted projects from concept to completion
What Will Put You Ahead
- 2+ years pipeline leak detection experience
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and experience solving complex problems
- Experience working with and communicating to all levels of an organization on key initiatives
- Strong communication skills between technical and non-technical personnel
- Pipeline hydraulic modeling experience
- Experience applying data analytics to complex operations
- Coding experience
- Knowledge of PI Data Historian systems
- Knowledge of SCADA systems
