Plating Technician
SRG Global is seeking immediate help for our next Plating Technician based in Evansville, IN. SRG Global's technicians are responsible for keeping the electroplating line operating and troubleshooting any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. The shift in this role is 6:30am to 6:30pm or 6:30pm to 6:30am (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, and so forth)
Compensation in this position will be $25 hourly but is negotiable based on experience
What You Will Do In Your Role
· Monitor and maintain the electroplating system and all supporting equipment/processes.
· Involve yourself in troubleshooting & scrap focus reduction efforts (cross-sections, A3’s, issue timelines, develop standard responses / actions for scrap issues)
· Inspect and perform basic repair on pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems supporting the electroplating process.
· Perform predictive precision maintenance to identify and correct mechanical/electrical defects before machines fail
· Maintain operations equipment to achieve optimal performance levels and meet customer demands
· Work with operations associates to identify and prioritize needs
· Purchase parts required for repairs/projects
· Perform work at heights, around hazardous chemicals, confined spaces, etc.
· Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participating in safety program
· Help meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
· High School Diploma, GED or higher
· Mechanical and/or maintenance experience
What Will Put You Ahead
· Associate degree or higher in an electrical/mechanical or electro-mechanical field
· Experience working closely with chemicals
