Description
Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Quality Specialist to join our team located in Brunswick, GA. This position will monitor feedback investigations to ensure completed in a timely manner with a complete and sustainable corrective action.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Assist in researching and providing information needed for an effective investigation
- Compose responses and issue credits (as needed) to the customers
- Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for trends for analysis and improvements, and quality metric performance
- Monitor and enhance the Customer Feedback System to ensure changes are accurate and the system works properly
- Work with Site Record Coordinator and department to ensure that Company Records are managed appropriately
- Support the Business Unit by conducting supplier audits, ISO internal audits, Product Stewardship internal audits, and warehouse audits
- Lead and Motivate people to create value and eliminate waste
- Set up Customer Specific Package Labels
- Traveling up to 5% for training and to visit other mills
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher OR experience in an industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or laboratory environment
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (tables, formulas)
- Experience creating analytical reports
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with chemical analytical testing and procedures in a quality lab environment
- Experience in the Pulp & Paper Industry
- Root Cause Analysis experience
- ISO knowledge/experience
- Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience
