Design Lead (m/f/d)

 

Description

We are looking for a Design Lead (m/f/d) to strengthen our engineering team in Landau. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide technical leadership to our design team.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Technical management of the plant design department
  • Design of thermal process equipment
  • Preparation and optimization of design documents
  • Installation, piping and routing design for complex process plants
  • Preparation of assembly drawings for apparatus, equipment and steel structures
  • Preparation and editing of P&I diagrams, parts lists and documentation
  • Review of apparatus and structural steel drawings and technical coordination and discussions with subcontractors
  • Performing static strength calculations for mechanical components and stress calculations for piping in the design phase
  • Determination of material specifications
  • Technical and economic evaluation of design changes
  • Coordination and interface management with customers, service providers and suppliers

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in the area design/ apparatus engineering/ plant engineering or pipeline construction
  • Relevant professional experience in the design of plant engineering/ apparatus engineering or piping design
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines (e.g. AD2000, EN13445, EN13480, Pressure Equipment Directive, etc.)
  • Good AutoCAD and CADISON knowledge or good knowledge of a comparable 3D design program for process plant design (e.g. AutoCAD Plant 3D)
  • High quality awareness and a goal-oriented and responsible way of working
  • Independent conceptual thinking and acting
  • High ability to work in a team as well as strong communication skills, resilience and flexibility
  • Good knowledge of German and English
