Join INVISTA as a Process Engineer at our Seaford, Delaware site. Since 1939, the INVISTA Performance Solutions Seaford site continues to be a world class manufacturing facility with ~ 135 employees, which manufactures Nylon 6,6 staple fiber.

As a Process Engineer at INVISTA, you will Provide "Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices" (RAGAGEP) to drive effective and efficient change.

An ideal candidate will be a solid team player with the ability to work independently in an efficient and effective manner creating value-adding results, dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement, and sense of urgency to achieve site objectives.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Drive site transformational efforts through risk adjusted economics, engineering controls, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and optimize production equipment for improving efficiency.
  • Work with the team to develop and execute migration plans for legacy equipment and control system platforms.
  • Identify new process technologies that can be leveraged for operational improvements and develop the applicable projects for execution.
  • Communicate and work with various operational, environmental, maintenance, and engineering levels in a team environment, yet be self-motivated and accomplish individual goals and commitments.
  • Perform process analysis and urgently drive efforts for predicative and preventive process measures.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or related discipline
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Previous experience in designed experiments and process simulations
  • Previous experience with computer-based data analysis methodologies
  • Previous experience driving change initiatives
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects) and use of other technology platforms (i.e., Power BI, PQM, LMS, Minitab, etc.)
  • Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering
  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing or Petrochemical industry
  • Previous experience in Nylon/ Polyester industry
  • Previous experience applying or using Six Sigma/ Lean manufacturing
  • Previous experience in Project management
  • Knowledge and application of Design of Experiment (DOE).
  • Previous experience in supervision or leading a team
