Flint Hills Resources is now hiring a Maintenance Manager at the Pine Bend refinery in Rosemount, MN. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be a key part of establishing and advancing Asset Management as a Capability. In this role you will lead a multi-disciplinary maintenance and warehouse teams. You will focus on partnering with our Operations & Maintenance Lead (OML) to create a team atmosphere to execute work safely and efficiently. Key partnerships for this role include Field Operations, Process Control, Turnaround, Business Teams, and Human Resources.

This role sets the strategy for continuously improving our maintenance performance, with a focus on efficiently flowing work, eliminating waste, improving collaboration, and increasing transparency. You are accountable for understanding and developing the culture of our maintenance teams, developing craft capability, and establishing a collaborative environment.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Leading and developing a team of Craft and Warehouse superintendents through Applying Principle Based Management:
    • Helping each employee increasingly self-actualize
    • Creating the right environment
    • Building a high-performing team
  • Collaborating with Field Operations, Process Control, TA, and Asset Management Leaders to define highest value priorities and set objectives for work execution teams
  • Key contributing member of the Plant Leadership Team and Turnaround Steering Team
  • Promoting a collaborative working relationship with union representation
  • Ensuring effective execution of safe work practices and environmental procedures
  • Defining necessary talent and knowledge needs to advance the Work Execution Pillar
  • Developing effective multi-craft and contractor coordination
  • Providing transparency to work status and communication to key stakeholders
  • Establishing appropriate measures to drive and demonstrate progress toward Vision
  • Partnering with FHR data management capabilities to improve utilization and effectiveness of work execution tools such as EAM
  • Successfully integrating new technologies and programs into maintenance teams (ex. wireless vibration, monitoring dashboards, connected tools)

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years or more of reliability and/or maintenance experience
  • Five (5) years or more of refinery, manufacturing, military or industrial plant experience
  • Three (3) years or more of supervision experience

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in an Engineering field
  • Knowledge and understanding of lean principles
  • Ten (10) years or more of reliability experience and/or maintenance experience
  • Six (6) years or more of supervision experience
  • Operations experience
