Senior Engineer, Sourcing (Indirect)

1.

Drive materials sourcing at the most competitive price both locally and at Low Cost Country (LCC) in line with principled entrepreneurship behaviour

2.

Liaise with internal purchasing team, production, engineers, facilities, ehs & suppliers on the detailed requirement and spec/ quality compliance.

3.

Generate substantial cost saving via negotiation with the incumbent suppliers and source switching.

4.

Analyze buying patterns, products and suppliers. Drive consolidation and manage spent.

5.

Conduct cost and market analysis to benchmark current and potential suppliers

6.

Analyze industry trend and evolving technology to proactively identify supply issue in minimizing risk, ensuring continuous supplies and exploring emerging opportunities

7.

Drive and manage suppliers' overall performance, conduct periodic performance review with vendors

8.

Collaborate with Global Category Manager in cost saving program & material globalization/ standardization initiatives. Drive Auction activities for saving opportunities

9.

Participate in establishing short and long term sourcing plans in line with strategic business goals of the company

10.

Source & audit suppliers physically with Technical Team and related department before qualifying the selected suppliers as AVL

11.

Prepare weekly & monthly reports for management

12.

Comply to purchasing/sourcing procedures, SOX, ISO procedures and other requirements from time to time.

13.

Support company's initiatives on CSR, TQM, Six Sigma, Kaizen/ Lean, etc

14.

Assist Sourcing Manager as and when needed on any reports or assignments/ projects given.

15.

Collaborate with Division Category Management and Global Category Management team on sourcing activities domestically and internationally

16.

Negotiate legal terms under the guidance of the internal legal support team

Require:

· Minimum 5 years working experience in technical sourcing

· Have enough experience to understand the detailed costing including familiarity of supplier engineering processes, i.e., design, fabrication, machining & all others related to the fabrication of the parts/ machine required.

· Able to read technical drawing

PREFERRED:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the same processes as assigned

Required:

· Able to work under pressure

· Good team player

· Good in Malay & English (both writing & speaking)

· Able to converse in other languages (Japanese/Korean) is a plus

· Able to work in humility and respectful, independently and effectively in a cross functional environment both internally and globally in Molex

· Good negotiation and influencing skills

· Strategic and flexible mindset with an analytical and result oriented thinking

· Strong in interpersonal/communication skill

· Good virtue, learning attitudes, and positive character (Contribution Motivator)

Preferred:

· Possess SAP knowledge, Strong knowledge in MS Office. Coupa knowledge will be advantages

Required:

· Diploma/ Degree in the related discipline
