We are looking for a Design Engineer that will work closely with the front-end Product Development team members coming up with innovative design concepts. This team is developing parts, components, modules or systems into the growing Electric Vehicle Powertrain Market. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Assist the front-end product team in coming up with innovative design concepts.
  • Create 3D Concept Design Models. Create Customer Power Point slides with “life-like” 3D renderings that communicate the function, features, and value.
  • Submit Patent Service Requests of novel design features for possible patents.
  • Do detail design work to support the making of functional prototypes. Need to perform electrical and thermal analysis prior to prototyping.
  • Create DVP&R (EV & DV) for functional prototype testing

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or equivalent
  • 2 years of product design experience in Automotive
  • Proficient in 3D Parametric Modeling in Siemens NX or other similar software
  • Product Design experience for products that need to pass environmental testing (Design for Thermal, Electrical, and Mechanical Stresses)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 5 years of product design experience in Automotive
  • 3 years of product design experience in Automotive Electronic Module Mechanical Design (Electronic packaging)
  • Skill in Rendering 3D Models.
  • Experience with Electric Vehicle Cells, Modules, Packs.
  • Bilingual- German Preferred
