Koch Fertilizer in Beatrice, NE is looking to add a Reliability Technician to our team! Our Reliability Technician role extends their responsibilities from assisting our team with Instrument & Electrical maintenance to working on project planning. Planning responsibilities are roughly 75% of the role with 25% of the role is working I&E maintenance.

What You Will Do In Your Role
- Perform job site assessments to view the work areas
- Review drawings, customer requirements and specifications to develop work scope activities
- Use knowledge of best work practices and procedures to develop project execution strategy and identify task constraints
- Assess manpower requirements and determine estimated durations for the work activities for Turnarounds by providing work activities, activity durations and manpower for scheduled development
- Define “Division of Responsibilities” for project resources (manpower, equipment, support contractors, PPE, consumables, etc.…)
- Interface with Safety Professionals, Industrial Hygiene and Operations Professionals to develop Safety Execution Plans for the work
- Develop and compile Job Packages for field execution team, containing drawings, work scope, safety plans, etc.
- Assess and determine construction equipment needs
- Interface with contractors to verify work plans
- Assist in daily maintenance tasks:
- Electrical work on installation of new services, trouble shooting, grounding and repairs.
- Calibration, installation, and preventive maintenance on variable frequency drives, electric motors, motor control centers and mechanical relay services.
- Adjustments and repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, Pneumatic systems, and systems used in indication, and record process conditions at our facility.
- Perform general maintenance work, such as valve replacement, torqueing of flanges on piping, and heat exchanger work.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Experience with industrial turnaround/construction work package development
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Experience with PLC, calibrating, testing, troubleshooting, and installing instrumentation or electrical equipment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, specifically MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel
Physical Requirements
- Climb stairs, ladders, ladders on vessels and columns, ladders associated with scaffolds in excess of 100 feet
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and push and pull up to 150 lbs.
- Work in hot, cold, and inclement climate conditions
- Required to wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, acid suits, breathing air, gloves, safety boots, respirators, ACR Flash suits, and encapsulated suits. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task
- Work in confined spaces with supplied breathing air and congested areas
What Will Put You Ahead
- 5+ years or more of related industrial plant experience
- Knowledge of industry standard Best Practices and Procedures for the Installation of Mass Transfer Equipment, Lifting/Rigging, heat exchangers, valves and piping
- Microsoft Project/Primavera planning software experience
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
