What You Will Do In Your Role

The Network Engineer will be a part of a Global Network team that delivers networking solutions for Guardian Industries. The Network Engineer will be part of a global team that is the first line of response for all network operations, design and implementation. The Network Engineer will work with colleagues towards resolving complex issues with innovative and efficient solutions. The Network Engineer is expected to work with third party providers and customers to troubleshoot complex issues and provide a superior client experience.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Working in a large-scale networking environment under minimal supervision
  • Up to 40% Domestic and International travel.
  • Working on daily projects and tasks, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
  • Work with Cisco TAC or other 3rd party vendors for escalation as needed.
  • Working directly with customers to understand the requirement and provide them high level experience with the services.
  • Responsible for end-to-end quality delivery of assigned network project ensuring adherence to Network engineering standard and the subsequent handover to Operation team.
  • Responsible to ensure projects solution are in line with approved standard and meets the required outcome from stakeholder.
  • Ensures assigned network project tasks are delivered on time, on budget against agreed scope.
  • Provide consultancy and advisory services to business, and technology stakeholders for any matter related to assigned project working together with engineering team and project lead.
  • Delivers high quality solutions on both connectivity requirements.
  • Interfacing with customers to assist in resolving customer issues, communicate resolution status, and deliver high quality solutions.
  • Identifying process gaps or areas for improvement in delivery efficiencies and recommend/implement solutions.
  • Identifying EOL/ EOS network devices and proposing appropriate replacement devices by preparing BOM.
  • Perform quality check and drive initiatives to improve quality / accuracy of design.

What You Will Need To Bring With You

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or 7-10 years’ experience in Network Engineering.
  • Strong relationship building and administrative skills.
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant industry experience in solution design and practical experience in end-to-end management and execution of network project infrastructure deployment involving in LAN, WAN, Wireless and SD WAN Technologies.

Skillsets required:

  • Demonstrate an expert understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP and Ethernet protocols.
  • Advanced design knowledge of IP based networking architecture.
  • Basic knowledge and experience of WAN Optimization and SD-WAN.
  • In depth knowledge and experience on Cisco IOS and to include routing (OSPF & BGP), switching and QoS experience
  • Proven experience in working on large scale project.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS and familiarity with the Cisco product line.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and management protocols.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction to achieve stated goals or assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.
  • Excellent technical and non-technical writing skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking & analytical skills.

    What Will Put You Ahead:

    • Minimum 8-10 years networking experience
    • Experience with Manufacturing Networks (Segmentation, Purdue Model)
    • Good Communication skills.
    • Experience with Cisco DNA Center.
    • Knowledge of Software Defined WAN and Meraki
    • Cloud experience (VPC, VPN, AWS) Prior experience with the administration and implementation/design of large enterprise networks or large managed service provider network.
