Guardian Industries is looking for customer service focused individuals to be part of the IT Operations View Ops Monitoring team.

Job description:

The IT Operations Monitoring Administrator will work in configuring the monitoring in our preferred tool DataDog, maintain the correct documentation for the team (create and update) and monitor pro-active and reactive alerts coming from various tools. Being part of a Global team and being responsible of supporting monitoring functions which runs multi-platform systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Datadog different integrations and configure monitoring (alerting).
  • Work with Computer Operations teams to monitor pro-active and reactive alerts coming from various tools.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and services providers.
  • Monitoring – scrutinizing alerts received from our various tools and ensuring that they are properly logged and worked on.
  • 1st Level Support. Register and classify received Incidents and undertake an immediate action.
  • Incident Ticket Management – entering alerts into ticketing tool (ServiceNOW) and updating these tickets as necessary.
  • Escalation – contacting various support teams as necessary to ensure alerts are properly managed.
  • Process Improvement – continuously review current processes to identify rooms for improvement including automation and job optimization.
  • Documentation – create and update documentation related to Operations Monitoring.
  • Audit – ensure that all documentations used by the team are complete, accurate and up to date.
  • · Reporting and Communications – create and distribute reports and communications related to Operations Monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Excel formulas, pivot tables and macros for creating and automating reports.
  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be focused on providing a high level of service to the client and maintain a positive and resilient attitude.
  • A good team player but also able to achieve personal targets.
  • Able to communicate with all levels of the organization from senior management, junior staff, and technical personnel.
  • A high standard of oral and written English

Valuable Knowledge & Experience

  • Technical IT expertise and skills in Virtual Servers / Windows server & Linux .
  • Experience or Knowledge in a Data Centre environment.
  • Working experience or knowledge in Computer & network Monitoring.
  • Operating experience in operator networks or large data center networks would be an advantage
  • DatDog setup proved experience: Integrations, Containers Monitoring, Monitoring and alerting…
  • Experience in various hardware platforms (Vmware, AWS, Kubernetes, Windows..)
  • IT Degree Certificate.
  • ITIL proven knowledge.
