What You Will Do In Your Role

This position in the Georgia-Pacific Building Products IT team creates long-term value by configuring and developing features in Salesforce Experience Cloud and B2B Commerce cloud to enable product catalog and online commerce features on both our public web site and B2B customer portal.

  • Provide technical development, testing, and deployment of new functionality, enhancements to existing functionality, and defect remediation for our salesforce.com® implementation with a focus on Experience Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Content Management
  • Work with business analysts and technical architects to translate user story requirements into technical designs to use when delivering via configuration or custom code (via flows, triggers, APEX classes, Lightning Web Components, integrations, etc.)
  • Provide complete and accurate estimates for required development time
  • Work with other onshore and offshore developers in delivery, unit testing, QA, and deployment of user stories and defect fixes
  • Maintain data models, data dictionaries, and other technical documentation
  • Work with our integration team and other system owners (ERP, CPQ, Finance, etc.) to define and implement integrations of data between systems
  • Develop and implement data migration strategies as needed to transform and move data from multiple systems into the salesforce.com platform or make updates to data already stored in salesforce.com®
  • Provide application monitoring and technical support for the salesforce.com® platform

The ideal candidate will bring experience working with Commerce capabilities of salesforce.com® for use on public web sites and/or customer portals.

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Expertise in salesforce.com® configuration and development
  • Experience with implementing and supporting complex databases and integrations
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodology and deployment technologies

What Will Put You Ahead

  • BS Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS
  • Experience in creating web sites and commerce solutions in salesforce® Experience Cloud and Commerce Cloud
  • Experience in creating product catalogs with data from salesforce.com as well as digital assets (images, PDFs, etc.) stored in Salesforce Content Management System or in Digital Asset Management Systems.
  • Experience in integrating Commerce sites with ERP systems (such as SAP S/4) for functionality such as product master data, product availability, payment and taxes, order fulfillment, transactional notifications, and status updates.
