EXTERNAL: Target Customer, Technology Standards and Supplier

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Product specialist to

1. Support and work with GPM, Operations and GSOP Team based on Product Life Cycle strategy to meet or exceed financial targets

2. Support GSM on technical inquiries and pricing requests

3. Support GPM and marketing team on promotion/collateral activities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Product Management

· Act as a focal point to internal/external contacts and provide timely feedback on product inquiries (technical or business) of assigned products.

· Regular review capacity vs demand of assigned products

a. Maintain demand/capacity metrics

b. Provide regular capacity loading analysis to Product Management Team on overdue / expansion / obsolescence.

c. Generate salesforce report to provide GPM with better understanding of current/future pipeline.

d. Recommend series to expand capacity and review/submit GCA (global cost analysis) for capex approval.

· Travel to customers to introduce product, seek and/or win opportunity.

· Conduct product training and roadshow to sales and target customers.

· Actively review, propose and obsolete product that is with low market demand or less competitive advantage

 

2. Pricing & Profit

· Review & approve Vendavo deal of assigned products.

· Review/set price book in SAP to ensure our product is priced reasonably/competitively and profit is maximized.

· Maintain metrics and analysis of pricing performance

a. Provide regular reporting to the Product Management Team in the form of written analysis and performance reports

b. Track large pricing deal win/loss opportunities, forecast revenues and corresponding capacity needs

· Identify low margin product, conduct cost comparison against GCA and initiate plan to reduce cost/increase profit.

 

 

3. Collaterals

· Work with GPM, marketing group to generate/update current product collaterals of assigned products.

· Work with GPM, Procom and marketing to ensure NPI release package (2D / 3D / 360 degree / PS / PK / TS / UL / datasheet) is accurate/updated/aligned per current product strategy

4. Others

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION:

REQUIRED:

Bachelor Degree

PREFERRED:

Bachelor Degree of Engineering/Business

WORK EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

Min 3 years of product management/sales/technical support/project management experience in electronic manufacturing industry.

PREFERRED:

Min 3 years Product Management experience in global connector manufacturing industry.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

REQUIRED:

Fluent English (spoken, written, listening)

Proficient in using Microsoft excel, ppt, word

Good communication skills

Good inter-personal skills and team player.

PREFERRED:

Foreign language capability (Chinese/Japanese preferred)

SAP/Power BI/Power Automate knowledge

Project/product management knowledge

Strong business, finance/accounting background and a track-record of making data driven decisions

Great Presentation skills
