Site Utilities Optimization Leader

We are looking for a Site Utilities Optimization Leader to join our team in Orange Texas. This role will work a 9/80 schedule. 

In this role, you will identify and drive value creation, eliminate waste, and develop innovative and transformative approaches to solve technical problems. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Identify and drive value creation/waste elimination/innovation opportunities, while cultivating a mutually beneficial working relationship with Site Landlord and other Site Tenants.
  • Solve technical problems and drive economic decisions while working with a diverse workforce.
  • Understand the site utilities balance and be able to explain how the Site Landlord’s process affects INVISTA’s operating and financial conditions.
  • Partner with various INVISTA team members to provide overall management, mentorship, oversight, and coordination of site utilities & energy cost optimization.
  • Provide active, felt leadership to the Service Level Agreements (SLA) Team (Contract Liaisons/Finance/Sponsors/Owners) so that we understand and document SLA costs.
  • Act as the point contact for major issues requiring interpretation of SLA.
  • Identify major step change opportunities for improvement from a cost perspective and/or improving working relationship with the Site Landlord.
  • Working with the SLA Team and Legal, document long-term changes to contracts or new contracts as well as temporary changes to the SLAs (Letters of Agreements - LOAs).
  • Coordinate with Finance on the annual SLA PO Cost agreement.
  • Lead annual INVISTA SLA Distribution Factor setting effort. 

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of Engineering experience in the chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, or utility industry
  • Must be able to meet minimum physical requirements (i.e., must be able to wear personnel protective equipment, climb stairs and/or ladders in a plant environment, and work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions for various periods of time.
  • Must be willing to travel 10-20% for work-related needs.
  • Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Experience in site utilities optimization (Steam, Water, Natural Gas, Electricity)
  • Experience in Contract Liaison, Finance, and Negotiations
