Koch Business Transformation accelerates the profitable transformation of Koch companies by meeting them where they are on their journey and partnering with / empowering them to achieve their targeted business outcomes through the effective leverage and application of the appropriate resources, knowledge, & tools. We do this through a set of Services & Capabilities we continue to design, develop, and improve to support critical phases and success factors along the transformation journey and to enable us to be effective partners, while working with each business to build these long-term capabilities where they create the most value. 

The team is looking to add to their Strategy & Business Design service area. This team applies customer centric design practices to help facilitate business leaders through a process of defining the future state of their business including strategy alignment and target operating model, identifying major capability gaps and defining work that needs to be accomplished to resolve those gaps in order to achieve the businesses expected business outcomes and key bets and ultimately achieve their vision.

What You Will Do In Your Role

Identify and Scope Opportunities 

  • Work with Koch business leaders and Business Transformation Team to identify spaces where the teams’ comparative advantages can add value, and help scope related responsibilities, initiatives, projects and deliverables. 

Deliver Engagements and / or Advise Business Leaders 

  • Lead highly visible cross-functional project teams made up of internal and external partners and business team members to deliver top quality engagements across Koch companies that center around business strategy and design (architecture) – outcome / bet definition, capability gap, transformation strategy, target operating model and roadmap design. 
  • Use a range of tools and methods to help lead and facilitate business leaders to overcome obstacles and solution problems in a way that drives progress, improves knowledge exchange and ways of working, and accelerates value capture. 

Build Capability and Knowledge Processes 

  • Work closely with other Business Transformation Team Capability leaders to help Koch’s business maximize and accelerate value of their highest value transformation programs.
  • Contribute to the formal development of business design (architecture) practice tools, methodologies, and applications, and inspire innovative approaches and techniques
  • Help evangelize learnings, insights, connections, and recommendations across businesses, disciplines, and departments.

  • A Storyteller, who can frame and tell the story of strategy to action. Present the communication of research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and experience design rationale both verbally and visually.
  • A Principled Entrepreneur, who is contribution minded, practices a philosophy of mutual benefit and demonstrates integrity, humility, and respect.

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Understanding and application of business frameworks and methodologies such as Togaf, Six Sigma, Lean and Design Thinking 
  • Strong background in leading and managing projects with set timelines, multiple cross functional stakeholder groups and defined deliverables. 
  •  A proven track record in the development of strategic plans 
  • Strong background in developing and delivering presentations in a corporate, consulting, agency, or relevant environment capacity 
  • Experience conducting customer and stakeholder interviews and implementing surveys 
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% 

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 15 – 20 years strategy or process consulting 
  • MBA
  • Ability to understand industry dynamics, stakeholders, and customers across multiple industries and roles 
  •  Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Flexible minded; willing to take on additional responsibilities to support the team
