Join INVISTA as Precision Vibration Technician at our Orange, TX plant, where you will execute comprehensive vibration preventive/predictive maintenance strategies. You will help us achieve our Operations Vision by performing with a Business Owner mentality, implementing rotating equipment reliability strategies to transform our time-based strategies into condition-based strategies. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Manage/Own the vibration program, while continuously seeking new opportunities to improve the program
  • Provides technical expertise and comprehensive support for site vibration analysis
  • Collecting and analyzing vibration, ultrasound and thermographic information on fans, blowers, boilers, electrical motors, gearboxes, compressors, conveyors, and various other equipment at the site
  • Interpreting vibration findings to ensure all plant equipment is operating at optimal levels
  • Assisting with the development of new predictive techniques and programs for plant equipment
  • Performing precision maintenance activities to improve equipment performance
  • Implementing reliability best practices for plant equipment by identifying operating conditions such as load, speed, and environment
  • Optimize our mechanical integrity strategies by implementing condition-based strategies using SAP, wireless sensors, and Pi Dashboards to increase transparency of asset condition
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis to identify causes of failures and effective solutions that will prevent/minimize failures.
  • Manage vibration procedures, develop electronic inspection forms, and build data for equipment history / learnings.
  • Provide operations and shift technician training to build capability within the team.
  • Support production with the startup and shutdown of analyzers systems as needed.
  • Support DCS team for on-stream vibration optimization

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • ISO Vibration Level 2 minimum
  • 3 years’ minimum experience in maintenance or facility operations in an industrial, manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in millwright role


Physical Requirements:

  • Work schedule is subject to change with notification, depending upon business needs. Additionally, must be available to work scheduled (Planned) or unscheduled (unplanned/short-notice hours on nights and/or weekends, holidays as needed), to meet business needs.
  • Required to wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, gloves, safety boots, respirators. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and inclement climate conditions.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, ladders on vessels and columns, ladders associated with scaffolds


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Knowledge of and experience in applying mechanical precision maintenance fundamentals
  • Experience with Bently Nevada Ranger Pro vibration monitoring
  • Asset 360 process monitoring and trending
  • EAM/SAP
