About the Role

INVISTA’s Martinsville site is looking for an individual who will work closely with internal INVISTA customers and operations to effectively manage orders and ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. This role will support the operations team to ensure quality, production scheduling, and order fulfillment meets customer needs. To be successful in this role, you must be able to interface comfortably with customers and operations teams, identify obstacles in meeting customer requests and take appropriate actions to correct, and communicate clearly with all parties involved with a sense of urgency.

The Martinsville INVISTA Precision Concepts site is a supplier of precision components and assemblies to a variety of industries worldwide. This role presents an excellent opportunity to drive value creation, enhance operations capabilities, and create long-term value for both our customers and INVISTA. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Provide world class customer service to each customer and track customer feedback
  • Ensure accurate and timely RFQ responses on all customer inquiries
  • Understand current production bottlenecks and ensure accurate lead time estimates on all RFQs
  • Maintain raw material inventory based on customer forecasts to ensure timely delivery
  • Provide proactive feedback to customers on all open orders
  • Develop and improve revenue opportunities for materials and services
  • Collaborate with the customer to understand quality and yield issues, and report those issues to the operations team to drive partnerships for value creation, innovations and improvements for INVISTA sites
  • Complete monthly billing process in coordination with corporate AR group
  • Manage all documents pertaining to import/export, part confirmation and documentation, tariffs, arranging shipments

    The Experience You Will Bring


    • Previous experience using Microsoft Excel to create / edit spreadsheets and analyze / sort data
    • Previous experience using Microsoft Office to generate reports, create charts, graphs, and presentations
    • Must be able to travel up to 10%
    • Must have the ability to wear safety glasses, gloves, safety footwear and any other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for given tasks
    • Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

      What Will Put You Ahead

      • 2+ years of sales, marketing, or closely related business-to-business experience in the manufacturing or technical industry
      • Machine shop or related experience
      • Experience working with international trade documentation and shipping
      • Associates’ degree in business, communications, marketing or related field of study or minimum of 1 year of experience in a business-to-business customer service, sourcing, or supply chain related role or equivalent military experience
