Primary Purpose

Define supply strategies, inventory levels and replenishment policies to help achieve Molex customer service level requirements while keeping a balanced cost to serve to operate a profitable business. Responsible for gathering, validating, consolidating, and analyzing all inventory information on a continuous basis in support of GSOP&E processes to optimize Molex working capital.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  1. Develop inventory & replenishment strategies to support differentiated service level requirements and cost to serve models. 
  2. Lead on driving key planning master data integrity, working with all relevant Mfg. Plants and Supply chain hubs to ensure consistency, proper use, and optimization of master data values, including but not limited to (lead times, safety stocks, MOQ’s, schedule margin keys, replenishment strategies, etc.). Provide training and guidance as required. 
  3. Play a lead role in orchestrating management of process and tools for settings of optimized multi-echelon safety stocks, cycle stocks, target inventories & re-order points.
  4. Establish and control key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain execution, inventory, and stock level targets. 
  5. Drive RCCA processes on Inventory KPI’s as well as setting targets for: Days of Supply (DSI), Inventory Quality (IQR), Days on Hand (DOH), and slow & excess (S&E) expense. 
  6. Support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology in support of service level goals. 
  7. Collaborate with business owners and provide guidance for improving working capital effectiveness and projecting inventory levels for business approval. 
  8. Participate in designing global-divisional level process flows, works instructions, best practices for Inventory, MRP Action Messages, Supply Orders, Data Integrity and Replenishment strategies. 
  9. Participate in product reviews to understand New Product Introductions (NPI) and End of Life (EOL) programs for the customer. 
  10. Engage in self learning-actualization and promote MBM culture. 
  11. Support Molex quality programs by following approved policies and procedures. 
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Production Management, Materials Management, Data Analytics
  2. 3+ years’ experience with inventory management / supply chain in Multinational manufacturing or distribution center environment. Strong analytical software experience required.
  3. Strong communication skills, logical and analytical talent is essential. 
  4. Must be a leader and able to influence a global team. 
  5. Good written and spoken English 
  6. Positive attitude, self-starter who is a team player. 
  7. Ability to grasp new technologies 
  8. Strong skills in MS Office, advanced skills in Excel. 
  9. Must have a practical knowledge of SAP Material Master -Planning Parameters /Inventory Management. 
  10. Able to take complex supply chain concepts, simply them for general business users and help drive solutions to fruition.

What Will Put You Ahead

  1. APICS certification desirable
  2. SAP, SmartOps, Kinaxis or other ERP systems 
  3. Expertise in end-to-end supply chain 
  4. Expertise in electronic manufacturing industry
  5. Experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response (plus) 
  6. Experience in capacity modeling (production routings, work centers, capacity hierarchies)
