Within our Global Sales & Marketing division within Molex Branch in Italy we are looking for an Associate Sales Engineer (ASE), who will be based in our office in Vimercate (MI).

As a Associate Sales Engineer you will you will develop the skills, knowledge, and behavior required for a future Sales Engineer (SE) role within a 12-18 month time period, by developing a deep understanding of Molex products, systems and culture, a strong internal network and Sales skills. The role will include, identifying new business opportunities, penetrating customers where Molex does not currently have a presence, and helping to grow business in existing customers where the Molex presence is insufficient. The ASE will gradually start to take ownership for certain accounts, liaising closely with Sales Management to agree on the strategy for those accounts.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Take responsibility for requests from customers who contact Molex via inbound calls and emails for technical issues including tooling, product selection, product specifications etc.
  • Discuss with the customer and analyze their requirements, in order to offer the most appropriate technical solutions for their specific needs.
  • Research new markets by proactively working on phone campaigns to prospect for new customers, or further investigate existing markets.
  • Participate in marketing events for their area of responsibility.
  • Work closely with Field Sales and support important projects and handle the timelines and milestones of the project in a proper way.
  • Make customer visits, initially together with Sales Engineers, later also alone. Take part in conference calls with customers, and participate in Sales Meetings.

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Medical Engineering or similar)
  • First commercial experience, experience prospecting customers, customer service experience.
  • English and Italian fluent. Any other EU language will be considered as an added value
