Guardian Glass is looking for a Logistics Supervisor to join our team in Carleton, MI! 

The Logistics Supervisor role is a key driver of business success within our Guardian facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to work to work cross functionally to support our customers and the needs of the business while expanding overall business knowledge within the glass industry. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Provide leadership and direction to the safety of all employees and visitors to the facility 
  • Lead, coach and mentor a crew in meeting safety, quality and logistics goals 
  • Develop crew members for improving individual and organization performance 
  • Lead performance management and corrective action processes for assigned crew 
  • Improve plant performance through process improvements and lean methodologies 
  • Partner with planning, 3rd party logistics, and customer service to optimize load requirements 
  • Work with upstream and downstream people and processes to meet customer expectations
  • Lead, track and improve performance on key goals and objectives 


The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Experience leading a logistics team 
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams 
  • Experience measuring and improving processes to meet organizational goals 


What Will Put You Ahead

  • APICS, CPIM or CLTD certification 
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain 
  • Experience in a glass facility
