RELCO is looking to add a mechanical Designer/Drafter to their team in Willmar, MN. The primary function of this position is to provide the modeling, detailing, and information link between engineering, estimating, automation, manufacturing, and construction. In this role you will have the opportunity to travel to project sites to take measurements alongside sales/engineering. What You Will Do In Your Role
- Prepare design drawings specifications for use in estimating, construction, and communication to third parties outside of the company
- Specify dimensions, material, & procedures for new projects and/or products
- Produce drawings, sheet metal flat pattern layouts, & other written communications concerning projects that are accurate & delivered in a timely manner
- Assemble informational/drawing packets & submit them to appropriate departments or areas
- Design and prepare plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software and work through rough specifications & sketches from engineers
- Prepare bill of materials
The Experience You Will Bring
- 3+ years of mechanical design experience
- Travel up to 10% of the time to client sites to take measurements
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with General Arrangement Drawings
- Experience with large assemblies
- Previous utilization of Autodesk Inventor design software
- Dairy dryer experience
