Lead Data Architect, Supply Chain (Remote)

This role is open to being worked remotely in the US with a preference to be based in Chicago.

We are looking for a Lead Data Architect, Supply Chain to lead the collection and management of Supply Chain data through its lifecycle. Management of and enabling access to high quality data is critical to Molex’s Integrated Digital Supply Chain’s (IDSC) continued success. Our goal is to realize a more data-driven organization that is better equipped to produce the high-quality data we need to make better decisions and provide more differentiated, more compelling products and services to our customers. 

This is a key technical and strategic leadership role that is an individual contributor and will be value to Molex by evolving how we manage, process, define and access our Supply Chain data. It is a champion for global data management, governance, and quality. The role is responsible for effectively analyzing, planning, organizing, and leading data, AI and ML projects in support of production applications while managing risk, workload, scope, capacity, schedule, and budget. This position works closely with project sponsors, business and technical partners, subject matter experts, end users, and technical resources (internal and third-party vendors). 

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Play a role in achieving the Data Strategy to drive business and process innovation
  • Translate data insights to business leaders to drive adoption of supply chain solutions and improvement in key outcome measures
  • Build effective partnerships with leaders, using data to effectively consult and influence decisions related to shaping division and department level goals.
  • Collaborates with business to identify key data requirements and engages team members to acquire harmonize, rescale, and cleans data
  • Interprets results of data models, identifies trends, issues, and develops alternatives to support business objectives
  • Presents recommendations and actionable findings to stakeholders
  • Partners with stakeholders and technologist to implement/automate/operationalize data models and tools into day-to-day business decision making
  • Design and support data solutions that will help the organization modernize the supply chain data management tools and processes 

The Experience You Will Bring


  • 5+ years experience designing, implementing, delivering, and managing end-to-end data infrastructure solutions and elements
  • Large-scale data platform rationalization, modernization and transformation experience 
  • Experience influencing, guiding, and facilitating stakeholders and peers in decision making, while building consensus among groups or individuals with diverse interests 
  • Demonstrated success leading collaboration and agile projects across a global development team, within a large enterprise environment 
  • Hands-on experience specific to cloud-native, automated data lakes 
  • Experience incorporating DataOps best practices into product development processes 
  • Demonstrated knowledge with: Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, Data Virtualization Platforms, Data Lifecycle Development with ETL/ELT tools, Data Model Creation with collaborative modeling tools 
  • Understanding of contemporary database technologies and experience automating data integration with complex ERP / CRM instances 

What Will Put You Ahead

  • GSOP&E and digital supply chain in global manufacturing environment with a consulting background
  • A master’s degree in business
  • Full lifecycle Knowledge of Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics architectural domain including:
  • Sales and Operational Planning(S&OP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS),
  • Transportation Management (TMS), RF Handheld Applications, Product Labeling and Scanning
  • Direct and Indirect Procurement Applications
  • Information Governance, Security and Compliance (DevSecOps)

The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. For this role, we anticipate paying $160,000-$205,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issues as a monetary bonus or in another form.
