Georgia-Pacific has an Employee Relations & Investigations Co-Op opportunity to partner closely with the HR organization as well as legal counsel in working through employee relations cases and responding to formal charges of discrimination, harassment, etc. 

What You Will Do In Your Role

Partnering on investigations regarding potential misconduct, policy violations and employee issues

Identifying, analyzing, and providing recommendations in employee relations situations

Preparing comprehensive investigation summaries to include findings, evaluation of any process gaps or practices that create legal risk to mitigate organization’s liability

Counseling managers and employees consistent with company policies/practices, legal considerations, etc.

Preparing written responses to external government entities requests and charges (EEOC, DOL, etc.)

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Experience and knowledge of employee relations/investigations
  • Excellent interpersonal/relationship management skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong technical writing skills (i.e., preparing responses to government entity requests and charges, etc.)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Working knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations and HR strategic practices 
  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions 
  • Bachelors’ Degree
