The Senior Logistics Specialist (SLS) for the Grand Blanc CMS team is the Supply Chain representative to the external Customer and internal customer teams. The SLS uses the multiple methods that the Customers communicate requirements and inventory reports to thoroughly analyze the supply position for each assembly. Using this detailed analysis, they are responsible to work with the manufacturers, Third-Party Logistics provider and carriers to ensure that there is enough finished good product being produced, in transit, docking and on hand to support each customer's needs while reducing excess and obsolescence. The SLS is also responsible for supporting customer portal functions and maintaining/actioning multiple KPIs to drive continuous, value-add solutions to issues that arise that may negatively impact the Customer or Molex.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Be the Supply Chain representative to the external Customer and internal customer teams for meetings and critical initiatives
  • Analyze customer requirements from multiple sources against inventory to ensure adequate and on-time supply of finished goods to the Customer while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory
  • Work with manufacturers, 3rd party logistics provider and carrier to ensure timely and adequate supply of requested finished goods
  • Coordinate lifecycle changes in conjunction with the external Customer and internal customer teams to mitigate negative impacts to the Customer and Molex
  • Maintain and action supply chain KPI's to drive value-add solutions to resolve issues that may negatively impact the Customer or Molex
  • Support of customer portal supply chain requirements
  • Follow all quality and safety requirements

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of logistics experience in lieu of degree

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive material or demand planning
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Logistics
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of an ERP system
  • Experience using Excel to perform VLOOKUP, creating pivot tables and analyzing data
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic and international)
