Kingston Site Quality Leader



Canada's Nylon manufacturing site located in Kingston, Ontario – INVISTA – is looking for a Quality Engineer to support ongoing continuous improvement quality opportunities across our Site. As a key member of our Site Quality Team, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical and quality capabilities to lead continuous improvement initiatives towards our quality systems and product quality.

We are striving to continuously improve our product quality for high performance material applications of nylon-66. In this role, you will take part in transforming the future by helping us discover solutions and developing products for the benefit of millions of people around the globe. You will have the opportunity to apply and grow your capabilities with a global company through the transformation of our quality systems and product quality. In this role you will have opportunities to travel to our global sites in Europe and Asia as well as network with other global leaders and companies within the KOCH Industries network.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Lead our Site Quality Team including in all aspects of supervision including the recruitment and development of team members
  • Through the application of quality core tools, lead the Kingston Quality Team in the development and execution of a prioritized portfolio of quality programs aimed at reducing quality risk profile, advancing product capability at our customers, and developing quality core tool application.
  • Consistent with our Operations Vision, integrate/partner with Site Operations teams to develop and mentor quality capabilities to enable the running of our assets on-aim resulting in product manufactured right the first time.
  • Anticipate customer needs and develop proactive strategies to enable Kingston Site to be a preferred supplier to our customers by creating mutually beneficial products and services.
  • Integrate with other INVISTA sites to enable effective networking aimed at sharing insights and practices to leverage and improve.
  • Ensure sounds process is in place to manage Kingston ISO 9001-2015 registration. Anticipate future registration requirements based on evolving business needs.
  • Effective communication in team meetings, activity coordination, program updates, and leadership engagement.

The Experience You Will Bring


  • Proven track record of building and leading an organization including the recruitment and development of talent.
  • Demonstrated application of Automotive Quality Core Tools including APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC in a manufacturing environment, preferably in an Automotive manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability in statistical data analysis
  • Demonstrated application of problem-solving methodology (root cause, 5-why).
  • Willing and able to travel internationally
